This can sometimes be seen as the slight outline around objects closest to the screen (such as your hand, weapons, etc.) - however, the rest of the world will indeed carry that good ol' 3D depth to it.Īs far as the headtracking (positional vs rotational), that should be pretty straightforward. It 'lifts and shifts' the object(s), and slightly moves them, while then filling the gaps via color prediction to blend it. The list of officially supported games can be found here. Everything else works, including full headtracking. The only thing missing in these unsupported games is Stereo 3D. Z3D (Z-buffer 3D), on the other hand, calculates the Z distance of objects on a screen, and modifies the image slightly for each eye. vorpX supports about 80 games officially in Stereo 3D, but many more DX9-DX11 titles will just work out of the box. This is why it looks most real and costs double performance. ![]() Reminder: G3D (Geometry 3D) adds a second camera (one for each eye) to give stereo vision. If you want a solid walkthrough on how to configure VorpX yourself, check out Paradise Decay's 'VorpX Guide 2020' ()Ĭheck our REVIEWS for a list of all known-compatible games - we have tried to specify if they are compatible with VorpX based on G3D and/or Z3D as well as whether they support Positional or Rotational headtracking. The goal of this group is to have a place to showcase and consolidate a list of all VorpX Supported Games (though it SHOULD work on all DX9/10/11/OpenGL PC games). ![]()
